Watch: Austrian Airlines returns to Dubai with new five-weekly Vienna service
DUBAI – Austrian Airlines has reinstated its direct connection between Vienna and Dubai for the first time in ten years, launching a five-weekly schedule designed for the busy winter travel period.
The carrier is operating the route from December 2025 to March 2026, using the Airbus A320neo as part of a wider capacity-optimisation plan.
Early bookings have been described as strong, reinforcing the airline’s confidence in leisure and business demand over the colder months.
Dubai Deal
The service, branded the “Dubai Deal”, aims to attract cost-conscious travellers with carefully tiered fares and added onboard touches.

utilisation while keeping the operation fuel-efficient. A launch event was held at Vienna Airport to mark the return of the route, which airport management said reflects rising demand for Middle East connectivity.
Flight schedule
Flights run five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flight OS89 departs Vienna at 18:50, arriving in Dubai at 03:25, enabling Austrian-based passengers to complete a full working day before travel. The return service, OS90, leaves Dubai at 06:05 and lands in Vienna at 09:25, providing convenient onward connections.
Introductory prices are set at €314 for Economy Light, which includes 8 kg of hand luggage. Economy Classic begins at €374 with a 23 kg checked bag, while Business Class starts at €699, offering Do&Co catering, two pieces of hand luggage, two checked bags and a free middle seat.
Onboard perks
To balance the narrow-body cabin on a 5.5-hour sector, Austrian Airlines has introduced several comfort-focused features. Passengers receive cosy blankets and pillows, along with limited-edition Dubai-themed amenity kits.
Puzzle books and phone holders are available, and the Austrian Melangerie buy-on-board menu highlights 85 per cent Austrian products. Customers who pre-order meals benefit from a 10% discount.
What’s ahead
The route also reopens a non-stop option that reduces travel time by at least four hours for passengers who previously relied on one-stop connections. Austrian Airlines reports strong early demand and views the Dubai Deal as a four-month trial; its long-term status will depend on meeting load-factor and yield targets during the season.
